Connie Cole Andrews, 88, of Roanoke Rapids, died Sunday June 12, 2016.
Connie was a registered nurse in Roanoke Rapids for many years. She worked with the outreach program for post mastectomy programs, also worked with Relay for Life for many years and served on the diabetic board in Halifax.
She was a long time active member of Rosemary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years Lloyd Andrews, their daughter Susan A. Doughtie and her husband Mike, of Littleton; two granddaughters, Ashley D. Smiley and her husband, Matt of Richmond, Virginia and Lauren Doughtie of Richmond, Virginia; a great grandson, Hudson Smiley and a great granddaughter, Anne Reese Smiley and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at 11:00 AM at Rosemary Baptist Church in Roanoke Rapids, NC with Dr. Layne Wallace officiating.
Interment will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids, NC.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 from 7:00 to 8:30 at Askew Funeral and Cremation Services.
