Eric Long Clary 81, of Roanoke Rapids passed away Friday February 10, 2017.

He was the son of the late Herbert Allen and Gladys Baird Clary.

He worked in the Textile industry as a supervisor for J.P. Stevens Company for many years and retired from Shepherd Electric Company.

Eric is survived by his wife, Judith Salmon Clary; his daughters, Karen C. Butler and her husband, Danny of Franklin, VA, Sharon Deaton and her husband, Sheldon of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Susan Murphy and her husband, Pat of Franklinton, NC; his sons, Robert Spragins and his wife, Selene of Littleton, NC and Wally Spragins and his wife, Tammy of Roanoke Rapids; his Grandchildren, Stephanie Butler, Ashley Brickhouse and her husband, Frank, Wes Deaton and his wife, Ashley, Jessica Clements and her husband, Luke, Abby Murphy, Fiance’ Kreigh Smith, Kristofer Spragins and his wife Brittany, Kevin Spragins and his wife, Alice, Bridget Gwaltney, Heather Harris and her husband, Wilson, Ashley Covington and her husband Walker; Great-grandchildren, Bryson Hollowell, Cheyenne Brickhouse, Brayden Deaton, Harper Deaton, Harley Brickhouse, Logan and Lyndon Clements, Kyle Spragins, Kara Spragins, Julianne Spragins, Dakota Handcock, Cole Byrum, Addison Harris, and Lincoln Covington; he is also survived by his Sister Sandra Kaye Guernsey of Colonial Heights, VA.

Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation Services on Sunday February 12, 2017at 3 P.M. with Rev. Joe Sandoval and Rev. Randy Martin officiating.

Interment will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery in Littleton, NC

The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 P.M. until Service time at the Funeral Home.

Alex Millard Cobb, 87, of 2847 Highway 48, Roanoke Rapids passed away Friday, February 10, 2017 at Signature Healthcare.

He is the son of the late Alex and Zola Phelps Cobb.

He was a Sergeant in the Korean War. Millard also was a farmer for 40 years, owner of C & H Farm Supply, Roanoke Valley Cotton Gin, C & C Mobile Home Park and Heath’s Mobile Home Park. He served on the BB&T Bank Board for 20 years, North Carolina Farm Bureau Board for numerous years and a deacon at The First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Roanoke Rapids.

Millard is survived by his wife, Rachel Hodges Cobb; his son, Richard “Ricky” Cobb and his wife Jean Hinson Cobb; his granddaughter, Megan Cobb; his sisters, Maggie Dickens and Marie Thomason and her husband Marshall and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held 2:30 P.M. Monday, February 13, 2017 at Crestview Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Barry Gardner officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service and other times at the home, 2847 Highway 48.

William Earl Nowell, 72, of Littleton died Tuesday morning surrounded by his loving family.

William was a native of Weldon and was the son of the late William Herbert and Hattie Elizabeth Williams Nowell. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Sherry Nowell King and his sister, Geraldine Lee.

William served his Country in the United States Navy and the United States Coast Guard for ten years each retiring in 1973. He worked for several years with New Dixie Marts.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years Bobbie Vaughan Nowell, his daughters, Chris Wood and her husband, Ken of Roanoke Rapids, Bobbie Sue Hux and her husband Ken of Littleton, his son, William “Bill” Nowell and his wife, Lisa of Roanoke Rapids; his brother, Wayne Nowell of Roanoke Rapids; grandchildren, Timmy Godsey, David King, Christopher Nowell, Stewart King, Jr., Stephanie St. Clair, Ashley Nowell, Zachary Horvath, Casey Hux, Tyler Wood, Megan Nowell and Mackenzie Wood; great grandchildren, Timothy Allen Godsey, Braxton Bennett, Hailey St. Clair, Landen Nowell, Matilyn Bennett and Emma St. Clair.

Funeral Services will be held Friday February 17, 2017 at 2 P.M. in the Chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Randy Martin officiating.

Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids with Military Honors.

The Family will receive friends Thursday February 16, 2017 at the Funeral Home.

Mittie McGowan Glasgow, 69, died Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at Wake Med in Raleigh.

Mrs. Glasgow was born in Pitt County, NC to the late Clinton Bryan and Ella Mae Sumerlin McGowan.

A retired teacher and Girl Scout leader she was known to many people as Ms. M. Also, a member of Good News Baptist Church, Mrs. Glasgow taught many children about Jesus as an elementary Sunday School teacher and youth leader. She loved reading, cooking and tending to her many flowers.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Glasgow was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Carlton Glasgow.

Surviving are her daughter, Jennifer Glasgow Banks and husband, Andy, of Apex, NC; brother, Eddie McGowan and wife, Brenda, of Greenville, NC; sister, Linda Rose and husband, Buddy, of Tarboro; nephews, Chris Rose, David McGowan and family; niece, Ashley Hadley and family; mother-in-law, Lois Glasgow and sister-in-law, Susan Glasgow Genung and family.

The family will receive friends Friday, February 17, 2016, at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service from 6-8:30 pm. Rev. Jimmy King will conduct funeral services Saturday, February 18, 2017, at 2:00 pm at Good News Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Community Center Baptist Church Cemetery.

Elma Conner Clark of Roanoke Rapids, NC, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017.

She was the daughter of the late Thomas Henry and Ester Mosley Conner. Elma was preceded in death by her husband, John Joseph Clark and her grandson Christopher Lee Conner.

Elma is survived by her three daughters, Barbara G. Clark of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Cynthia “Cindy” Clark Casey and her husband, Jerry of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Cathy Clark Livesay and her husband, Steve of Roanoke Rapids; her two sons, Kenneth Lee Conner and his wife, Sherry of Roanoke Rapids, Clifton Ray Clark of Roanoke Rapids; her sister, Inetta Epps and her husband, Roger of Emporia VA; her eight grandchildren, Steven Ray Conner, Melissa Conner Harris, Thomas Earl Byrum, Jr., Joseph Wayne Byrum, Roger Dwayne Byrum, Jennifer Clark Dixon, Christina Casey Dieter, Michael Allen Casey; her five Great-grandchildren, Kameron Scott Conner, Chelsea Marie Harris, Christopher Lynn Dixon, II, Alexis Elizabeth Moss, and Serenity Nycole Moss.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Askew Funeral & Cremation Services of Roanoke Rapids, NC with Minister Greg Hand officiating.

Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Christian Church Cemetery in Gasburg, VA.

Mrs. Olivia Worsham Cannon age 91, of Roanoke Rapids, NC, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2017.

Mrs. Cannon was born January 5, 1926, the daughter of the late Posey Lester Worsham and Macie Marie Vaughan Worsham. She was also predeceased by her husband Lundie H. Cannon.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Ann Butler and her husband Jay, two sons,
Steve Cannon and his wife Phyllis and Ronnie Cannon and his wife Faye. Her grandchildren, Kayleigh Cannon, Cody Cannon and Charles Brown and Cathy Phillips. Her great grandchildren, William J. Perkinson Sr., Raney Phillips and Sonya K. Phillips. One great great grandchild, William J. Perkinson Jr.

Kennon "Mutt" Randolph Wrenn, Sr. 78 of Emporia Died Thursday February 16, 2017.

Mutt was a native of Ante in Brunswick County and was the son of the late Horace Edwards and Ethel Mitchell Wrenn.

Mutt worked as an automobile salesman for over 40 years for Sadler Motors Inc. retired 2007.

He is survived by his sister Sandra Wrenn Edwards of Ante, his daughters Allison Wrenn of Fredericksburg, Kendra Novey of Richmond, his sons Kennon Randolph Wrenn, Jr. "Randy" and his fiancé Marcia Hudson of Roanoke Rapids, Scott Wrenn of Colonial Heights;  grandchildren Kennon Randolph Wrenn, III "Trae", Casey Wrenn, Eric Lynch, Jonathan Wrenn, Ashley Henderson, Austin Perkins, Anne Randolph Perkins, Brent Novey;  great grandchildren Hunter Wrenn, Wyatt Wrenn, Rooker Wrenn, Kennah Wrenn, Reed Henderson, Aiden Henderson, Adaline Henderson,

Lindsey was born in Manning, SC, July 15, 1998, to Sergio Netro and Karina Rodriguez. She attended Northampton County Schools and worked as a cashier and hostess in the restaurant business.

Surviving Lindsey are her mother, Karina Rodriguez and Carlos Gaona; father, Sergio Netro; brothers, Misael Netro and Carlos Ivan Gaona; sister, Kaitlin Gaona, and her grandparents, Yolanda Lumbreas, Silvano Rodriguez, Alicia Altamirano and Rene Altamirano.

Pastor Ester Bonilla will conduct a service of remembrance Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service at 6:00 pm. The family will receive friends at 5:00 pm, one hour prior to the service also at the funeral home.

Helen Baggett Wallace passed away on Friday, February 17, 2017.

She was the daughter of the late Henry Grady and Elvira Electra Robinson Baggett. Helen was also preceded in death by her brothers, James F. Baggett Herman R. Baggett; and her sister, Juanita B. Midgette.

She was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was also a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church for many years.

Helen is survived by her five children, her two daughters, Deborah Plummer and her husband Jay of Greensboro, NC, Loretta Mills and her husband, David of Greenville, NC; her three sons, Carlton Smith and his wife, Kim of Greenville, NC, Walter Wallace of Ayden, NC, Jeff Smith and his wife Jackie of Kernersville, NC; her sister Miriam Williams of Roanoke Rapids, NC; her eleven grandchildren and her ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Martin Officiating.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 1:00 P.M. until service time at Calvary Baptist Church.

Frank Winston Quinn, Sr., 82, of Roanoke Rapids passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Quinn was born July 13, 1934 in Jeff Davis County, Georgia to the late Kennis Quinn and Maude Summerlin Quinn. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Louise Quinn, Faye Carter and Janice Ursrey.

Mr. Quinn was the manager at Quality Forest Products until his retirement. He loved gardening. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Carr Quinn; his son, Frank Winston Quinn, Jr.; his daughter, Peggy Ann Quinn; his grandchildren, Frank Winston Quinn, III and Ashley Marie Quinn; two great-grandchildren; his brother, Wayne Quinn and his wife Glenda of Bainbridge, GA; his sisters, Ardith Quinn, Evelyn Quinn and Judy Clements all of Hazlehurst, GA and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Good News Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy King officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:30 P.M. Saturday at the church. Burial will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, February 27, 2017 in Pineview Cemetery in Pinetops, NC. Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service is handling arrangements for Mr. Quinn.

Rachel Strickland

Rachel Strickland, 73, was granted her angel wings on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 in her south Weldon home.

Rachel was born December 3, 1943 in Halifax County to the late Robert G. Walls and Elizabeth “Libby” Carter Walls. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas B. “Red” Strickland; her brother, Robert “Buddy” Walls; her sister, Barbara Blake and her ever devoted son-in-law, Curtis Richardson, Jr.

Her life seemed too short to many but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of one’s existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her outspoken personality and stern hand and gentle smile will remain in our hearts forever. She enjoyed family, cooking and most of all gardening and yard work. Rachel spent 36 years working at JP Stevens, Bibb and Westpoint Mills. Her final days were spent surrounded by the warmth of close family and friends. Although tiny and frail she gave us all such courage and hope. She reminded us of the preciousness of life.

She is survived by her close friend, George Ivey; her brother, Ronald “Ronnie” Walls; her two daughters, Sheryl Barkley Mead Ormond and her husband James “Jay” of New Bern; Anita Strickland of the home; her son, Buddy “Buck” Barkley of Bicknell, IN; her grandchildren, Richard Barkley and Madrey Clay of Winston-Salem, Douglas Mead, Michael Mead, Darrell Mead II and his wife Leanna Bryant Mead, Amanda Richardson and Curtis Bryant Richardson; nine great-grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 24, 2017 at Cedarwood Cemetery in Weldon with Rev. Roy Porter officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:30 P.M. Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.

Frances Joseph Lipgens

Mr. Frances Joseph Lipgens age 91, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Pine Forest Rest Home in Potecasi, NC.

Mr. Lipgens was born June 7, 1925 in Connecticut, the son of the late Paul Lipgens and Bertha Leister Lipgens. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Davidson Lipgens.
Mr. Lipgens was a retired veteran in the US Navy and served his country for 33 years.
He is survived by his step daughter, Sylvia Powell, a niece, Maureen Arnold and a nephew, Danny Arnold. Also two step granddaughters, Shelia Matthews and Michelle Bristow.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Massey Funeral Home in Aulander, NC. Burial will be private at Highland Memorial Gardens in Ahoskie, NC.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 PM prior to services.

Brett Livingston Stone, Sr., 56, died Sunday, February 26, 2017, at his home.

Brett was born, March 12, 1960, in Spartanburg, SC. He was a master carpenter and, because of his skills, would always help others before himself. He was a sports fanatic, participating in softball leagues for many years. Brett was preceded in death by his mother and father, Peggy and Elliott Vincent.

Surviving are his sons, Brett L. Stone, Jr. and wife, Samantha, of Greenville, NC, Stephen T. Stone, of Roanoke Rapids; brother, Woody Vincent of Bay City, TX; sisters, Beth Sloan and husband, Todd, of Austin, TX, and Mona Stone of Roanoke Rapids. Also surviving is his grandson, Fletcher Elliott Stone.

The family will have a gathering of friends to remember Brett’s life at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 6-8 pm.

Gloria Anycia Hawkins Birdsong

Gloria Anycia Hawkins Birdsong, 76, of Birmingham, Alabama, and formerly of Valdosta, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on February 17, 2017.

Born and raised in Gaston, North Carolina, she graduated as valedictorian and then attended Petersburg General Hospital School of Nursing in Virginia.
She modeled excellence in nursing until she retired after almost 37 years of dedicated service from Packaging Corporation of America in Valdosta, GA.
A devoted mother and friend, she kept an open door to all who were in need of a meal or simply a listening ear.
She loved to cook, work in her flower garden and as a surprise to many, she was a gifted pianist.
However, her greatest joy was found in giving to others, especially an encouraging word or a good laugh.
Gloria is preceded in death by her father, Clifton Daniel Hawkins.
She is survived by her children, Nona Lynne Price (Connie), Charles Lucas Birdsong, and Elizabeth Birdsong Hendrix (Chip); eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Survivors also include her former husband, Charles W. Birdsong; her mother, Mary Lucas Hawkins; and her sister, Barbara Furlough (Bob); two nieces and a nephew.
A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Hockaday Funeral Services with Pastor Jeremy Kobernat officiating, 507 Hwy. 158 West, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 p.m.

Paula Blanton Conner, 70, formerly of Roanoke Rapids, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at her home in Calabash, NC.

She was born April 21, 1947 in Patterson, NJ, to Florence Constantino and the late Buck Blanton. She was also preceded in death by her step-father, Frank Constantino; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Pinkie and Atkins Conner; Luther “Push” Conner, Wilbert Conner, Russell and Imma Conner, Betty Hardee.

She was employed at J. P. Stevens for 26 years, Nash General Hospital and Fountain Correctional Center for 7 years until her retirement. She also attended HCC and received her Phlebotomy Degree at Southside Community College and received her LPN Degree. After moving to Calabash she worked for Care Here of Myrtle Beach, SC.

She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Miles Conner; her children, Tracie Hayes Hammack (Bruce), Buddy Hayes (Traci) Barbara Hayes Jenkins (Ronnie), Cheryl Ryder (Michael) and Todd Conner; her grandchildren, Matthew Pike (Tracee), Whitney P. Huggins (Brandon), Brandon Hayes (Alexis) and Kristopher Cabiness (Amanda), Jody Cabiness (Rebecca) and Brent Hayes; her great-grandchildren, Hayley Pike, MyKinzey Pike, Jaden Pike, Brilynn Pike, Cenya Pike, Cyzon Pike, Alexus Hayes, Jayden Hayes, Kati Cabiness, Alyssa Kempe, Levi Cabiness and Colby Ryder; her siblings, Pat Glinsbecker, Valerie C. Duffy and Beth C. Malone; her half-sisters, Seretha Carroll, Ann Wright, Betsey Blanton Wilson and Kim Blanton Simmons; her nephews, Taylor Duffy and Ryan Duffy; her friend, Katie Conner; her pets, Angel and Missy.

Graveside services will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Crestview Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Jim Whitehead officiating. Dorothy Lee Pepper Green

Dorothy Lee Pepper Green, 98, died Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Nash General Hospital in Rocky Mount, NC.

Mrs. Green was born in Halifax County, May 28, 1918, to the late Bernard and Maggie Shaw Pepper.

She was a long time member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 28 years and had a great deal of influence on her Sunday School students. She was revered and respected by her Pastors. They often came to her for advice in their ministry.

She loved her family, and was extremely proud of her children. She loved sewing and making things, angels in particular, and she would give those angels to people all over the United States.

She loved being outside, taking care of her flowers and mowing her grass and she did this well into her 90’s. She also had a love for the mountains.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Green, Sr.; daughter, Carolyn Greene Johnson; brother, Reginald Pepper; two sisters, Clarice Shaw, and Lillie Belle Andleton.

Surviving are her sons, Richard Greene, Jr. of Red Oak, NC and Charles Greene and wife, Susan, of Roanoke Rapids; brothers, Francis Pepper and Joe Pepper, both of Roanoke Rapids; grandchildren, Jennifer Johnson Bryant, Lindsey Greene, Travis Greene and wife, Rebecca; great- grandchildren, Adrienne and Jasmine Bowser and Justice Greene. Also surviving are many, many special friends.

The family will receive friends Monday, March 6, 2017, at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service from 7-8:30 pm and all other times at the home. Revs. C.J. Walter “ Billy Ray” Rivenbark, age 57, formerly of Roanoke Rapids, died Thursday, February 23, 2017, at Nash General Hospital, Rocky Mount, NC.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, February 27, 2017, at Cedarwood Cemetery with Dr. Dennis W. Gregory, Sr. officiating.

Alice Moseley Gums

Alice Moseley Gums, “MEMA”, 97, of 726 Raleigh Street, Roanoke Rapids, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Halifax Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Gums was born October 11, 1919, in Halifax County to the late Curtis and Elizabeth Harris Moseley.

She was a weaver at the Roanoke No. 2 mill for many years. She really enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and having them over for fun and fellowship.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Maylon Gums and her brothers Woodrow, Clarence, Donald and William Moseley and her sister, Dorothy Moseley Artese.
Mrs. Gums is survived by her daughter, Sandra Gums Inge and husband Earl. Her grandchildren and her great grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Lisa Inge Burgwyn and husband Griff of Greenville, NC and their children Blair and Tyler Burgwyn; Earl Hardy Inge Jr., wife Debbie of Virginia Beach, Va. and their children Jacob and Jordan Inge; and Timothy Cecil Inge of Cary, NC. She is also survived by her sister Patricia Felts and husband Ronald of Jacksonville, Fl., sister in law Mae Gums of Tarboro, N.C., Jerry and Grace Moseley and their family and the cousins, nieces and nephews from the Moseley and Gums families who were so special to her.
Mrs. Gums was also blessed with a wonderful church family at Calvary Baptist Church where she enjoyed attending for over 60 years. Other special people in her life were Dr. Gerardo Maradiaga, Nurse Betty Hall, Nurse Cheri Parnell, her special friend and Sunday School Teacher, Martha Wilson and her special friend Brenda Jenkins, who was always available to care for her when needed.
Funeral Services will held at 3 P.M. Sunday, February 26 at Calvary Baptist Church, 1505 Bolling Road in Roanoke Rapids with Pastor Randy Martin officiating.

Burial will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church from 2 P.M. until 3 P.M. prior to the service and other times at the home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Church Building fund.

Evelyn Grant Doughtie

Mrs. Evelyn Grant Doughtie, 90, widow of Emery W. Doughtie, departed this life on March 5, 2017 surrounded by the love of family and friends.

She is now celebrating with her Heavenly Father, who has been her divine influence since a very early age.
She was born on June 18, 1926 to Lena and William Grant in Northampton County. She was the youngest of the eight siblings.
Mrs. Doughtie graduated from East Carolina Teachers College certified in High School and Elementary Education. She retired after 30 years of dedicated service. She was past president of the Delta Theta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society.
She was a lady filled with joy and was always looking for ways to share her love for the Lord; her love of cooking and sharing delicious dishes with the hungry or the sick; using her beautiful musical talents of piano playing at church, Guardian Care or Becker Manor; transporting people to doctor appointments and serving on the Board at the Pregnancy Support Center.
She was a servant of the Lord who never said “no” to any chance to assist when a request was voiced for someone in need of her God given talents. There are many local residents in the area who have been recipients of a dish of her wonderful baked custard, chicken salad or apple jacks.
She was a devoted member of Lebanon United Methodist Church since birth until she married and then transferred to Rosemary United Methodist Church where she served in many capacities. Some of her greatest joys came from keeping the nursery, presiding over and attending circle meetings, teaching Sunday School and assisting with food preparation for any occasion.
She was predeceased by her parents and her husband; her sisters Virginia Wells, Mildred Bolton, Rebecca Guthrie, Edith Flythe and her brothers, W.W. Grant and David A. Grant.
She is survived by her son, Emery Grant Doughtie and wife, Yvonne and her daughter, Ann Doughtie Rogers and husband Danny. She also leaves to cherish her memory three special grandchildren whom she dearly loved to spend time with, Lauren Lee Doughtie, Brian Grant Cleveland and fiancé Jasmine Crocker and James “Jamie” Emery Cleveland and a precious great granddaughter, whom she adored, Aubrey Renae Cleveland. She is also survived by a brother, Marshall Grant of Garysburg and by numerous nieces and nephews including her special niece, Greta Flythe who was a constant companion and caretaker for many years.
A special thanks is extended to the professional caretakers who loved and cared for our Mother in her last few months. God sent you to us when we needed you and your compassionate care was such a blessing to us all.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Rosemary United Methodist Church.
Interment will be private at Cedarwood Cemetery. Visitation will be at the home. Wrenn, Clarke and Hagan Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Rosemary United Methodist Church, 900 Jackson Street, Roanoke Rapids, NC.
