Margaret Edwards Daughtry, 76, of Halifax, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2016.
Margaret was preceded in death by her brothers Frank Edwards of Gasburg, VA, and Wayne Edwards of Pleasant hill, NC.
Margaret was a member of Rosemary United Methodist Church for many years.
She enjoyed being “Mema” to her Grandchildren, her Nieces and Nephews and also her great Nieces and Nephews. She also loved collecting and attending auctions.
Margaret is survived by her husband, Vernon M. Daughtry; her daughter, Tammy D. Pleasant and her husband Tim of Roanoke Rapids; her son, Marty Daughtry of Knightdale; two grandchildren, Holly Taylor and her husband, Cameron of Raleigh, and Rocky Pleasant of Roanoke Rapids; her sister Marie Harris and her husband, Sonny of Weldon; her brother, Hubert Edwards, and his wife, Jean of Halifax; Sister In-Laws, Emily Hale of Halifax, Rose True and her husband, Wayne of Raleigh and Carole Daughtry of Altamante Springs, FL; and several Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Rosemary United Methodist Church in Roanoke Rapids, NC with Rev. Charles Morrison and Rev. Randy Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Cemetery of Roanoke Rapids, NC.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 17, 2016 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at Askew Funeral and Cremation Services where arrangements are being handled.
