Mr. Elliott Lee Vinson Jr., age 73, of Murfreesboro, NC passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC.
He was a member of Union Baptist Church and served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam war.
He is survived by his children, Elliott Lee Vinson III and his wife Kimberly of Caro, Michigan, Bernadette Redman and her husband DeLane of Eagle, Michigan, and Randi Lea Louise Vinson of Vermontville, Michigan.His step son, Waine Bigelow and his wife Rebekkah of Flint, Michigan His brother, Robert Eugene Vinson Sr. and his wife Kay of Winton, NC. . His sisters, Gloria Lassiter and her husband Abron of Murfreesboro, NC and Rebecca Vinson Davidson and husband Joey of Colerain, NC. Hs grandchildren, Rebecca Ann Vinson, Amber Marie Redman and her husband Gordon, Amanda Lea May, Preston Edward Baes, Kelli Rechelle Sible, Jared Lee Vinson and Hayleigh Elizabeth Vinson. His great grandchildren, Sabina, Gavin, Mia, James, Hunter, Alayna, Bayleigh, Austin, Elle, Jaden, Hannah and Brady.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Union Baptist Church with Dr. Greg Powell officiating.
The family will receive friends after the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Union Baptist Church or Hertford County Relay for Life.
