Dianne Perry Long 66, of Halifax, died Thursday January 14, 2016 at her home, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, her family by her side.
A native of Roanoke Rapids, she was the daughter of the late, James and Pauline Lynch Perry. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Wayne Lewis.
She was a 1968 graduate of Roanoke Rapids High School.
Dianne is survived by her husband Wayne; her son Brian Lewis and his wife, Angela of Roanoke Rapids, stepdaughter, Christina Long Keeran of North Louisburg Ohio, stepson, Chris Long of Roanoke Rapids; her sister Linda P. Mason and her husband, Linwood of Roanoke Rapids; brother Kenneth Wayne Perry and his wife, Cindy of Hickory; granddaughter, Briana Lewis, stepgrandson, Owen Wayne Eyler, several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Debbie Lassiter.
A celebration of Dianne’s life will be held Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 2 P.M. at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Martin officiating.
Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the Church.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Relay for Life or Calvary Baptist Church building fund.
