James Alan Shearin 62, of Enfield, died Sunday September 30, 2018.
A native of Halifax County, he was the son of the late Elmo Bobbitt Shearin, Jr., and Dorothy Ann Parks Shearin.
He is survived by his two daughters, Kelly Shearin James of Port St. Lucie, Florida, and Kristen Michelle Petty of Ocala, Florida; three grandchildren, Devin Dollman, Summer Nicole Petty and Aiden Michael Petty; his brother, Brent Shearin of Littleton; his aunts, Sandy Williams of Littleton and Jean Smith of Mars Hill; his uncles, Floyd Shearin of Plantation, Florida and Frank Parks of Mars Hill.
The family will have a memorial service at a later date in Florida.
Arrangements are being handled by Askew Funeral and Cremation services 731 Roanoke Ave Roanoke Rapids.
